Our Core Values*
We value the importance of PRAYER. We believe that prayer forms the basis for
everything we do as church leaders and is the primary weapon available to us for spiritual warfare.
We value the POWER of God's Spirit working in us. We believe that God equips and enables us with the power necessary to accomplish things far beyond our own ability and comprehension.
We value the personal PREPARATION of church leaders. We believe that only through ongoing study of God's Word and continual self improvement and training can church leaders become the leaders of God's intent.
We value PEOPLE. We believe it is the
primary responsibility of church leaders to equip God's people for greater service and ministry in the Lord's Kingdom.
We value the role of PURPOSE in
building great churches. We believe that churches that seek to know and focus on what
God's purpose is for their church will become the church of God's intent.
We value PLANNING. We believe that each
congregation is unique and that the role of planning is important in organizing and directing the various talents, resources and opportunities of ministry in a local congregation in a strategic and focused process.
We value PRAISE. We believe in
emphasizing a life that is focused on constant praise towards God for the love, faithfulness and undeserved grace He has directed towards us. This begins with a call to individual and congregational renewal and revival with a focus on prayer.

Our Philosophy of Ministry
The ministry of Church-Based Training
International (CBTI) is not based on a new church growth method, fad or idea. In fact, we believe that lasting church growth can only come from God (Col.3:19), and is a direct result of the level of health that exists in a local congregation. God then looks to those of us who are church leaders to be careful stewards of that growth. We believe that planning in the local church must be based upon God's will. For that reason we begin our planning process with a firm foundation set on God's Word.
The Scriptures are very clear that our
planning efforts must be based on what God's desire is for our church, and not what we
want ourselves. "Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails." Proverbs 19:21 We also believe that God has a great desire to bring authentic spiritual renewal and lasting church growth to your
congregation.
Although that is His desire, it must be
our desire also. Leadership can either be a conduit for renewal and growth, or it can be a hindrance to the renewal and growth process. For those reasons, CBTI is focused on being a resource to church leaders for the knowledge, the skills, the training and the tools necessary to become conduits for authentic spiritual renewal and lasting church growth in their congregations.
Our Role
The role of CBTI is focused on helping
walk your congregation through the journey of becoming all that God intends for your
church to be. We view our role as facilitators only, for we are keenly aware of the importance of prayer and God's power through His Spirit to bring lasting growth and renewal to your congregation.
