"Strategies for Renewal"
Strategic Planning Retreat

sedocsThere is much more to the "Strategies for Renewal" Strategic Planning Retreat than just planning. It is designed for church leaders who are seeking a renewed direction for their church family as well as a more focused ministry effort within their congregation. We'll look closely at Scripture for insights into God's desire for His church and develop a Biblical basis for planning. We'll then give you a planning model that will effectively walk you through a strategic planning process that will help facilitate renewal in your congregation and focus in your ministry efforts.

The emphasis of the retreat is on prayer and renewal, and the re-commitment of each leader. This is an inspiring weekend that could be the real turning point for your leadership. You will also leave the retreat with a comprehensive, congregational planning document that will include 90-day, two-year, five-year and twenty-year goals and objectives for the ministries of your church.

The real crisis of the church today is rooted in the question of identity. Consider the following questions:

Would you describe your congregation as a church of God's intent?
Is God satisfied with who you are and what you are striving to accomplish as a church?
If not, why not?
Is your church moving in the right direction?
Is your church moving at all?

Such questions demand careful study of the Scriptures and much prayer. They call for an honest evaluation of where you are as a church and thoughtful planning which allows the Spirit to lead you towards God's desire for His church. The "Strategies for Renewal" Strategic Planning Retreat can help you and your church family in that process.

Prayer & Renewal Retreat/Seminarsepray

What churches and individual Christians need more than anything else today is an emphasis on prayer and a renewal of their lives. God has not kept silent about what he expects from His people before he will return to them and bring renewal and revival:

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
You don’t have revival by seeking revival, you have revival by seeking God. One thing every revival in Christian history has in common is a passionate commitment to praying for God to return. The reason revival is needed is because his people have gotten negligent. His people have left. But if God is going to return and be with his people it’s going to be because they asked him to.

In this Prayer & Renewal Retreat/Seminar we'll look to God's Word for an understanding of the importance of prayer in our individual and congregational lives and how churches can establish a prayer ministry in their church. We'll also study the great revivals in the Bible and learn what is necessary before God will send revival to His people.

The Purpose-Driven
Church of Christ Seminar

This seminar could very well help you turn the corner on becoming the church of God's intent. Strong churches are built on purpose. By focusing on what the scriptures tell us about what our purpose is as a church, we will develop a healthy balance that makes lasting growth. Healthy churches have a clear-cut identity. They understand their reason for being. They are precise in their purpose. They know exactly what God has called them to do. Plans, programs and personalities don't last, but God's purposes will. Until we know why our church exists, in specific, focused terms, we will have no foundation, no motivation, and no direction for ministry. We need to define our purpose and recapture a clear vision of what God wants us to do in and through our local church families.

Sessions Include:
The Truth About Church Growth
Five Facets of Growth
Faithfulness vs Fruitfulness
What It Means To Be "Purpose-Driven"
Defining Your Purposes
The Five Purposes of the Church
Five Circles of Commitment
Reaching Your Community for Christ
Developing an Evangelistic Strategy
Worship Which Inspires
Preaching That Communicates & Connects
Effective Assimilation & Involvement
Raising the Bar of Commitment
Leading Your Members to Maturity
"Every Member Is a Minister"
"The Lord's Purpose Will Prevail"

 ponce1"First Love" Evangelism Training Seminar

In the evangelism training seminar we'll seek to restore our heart for the lost and the understanding that you cannot be the New Testament church without sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with friends and family members on an individual basis. We'll learn about the evangelistic nature of the first century church and the various styles of evangelism found in God's Word. Members will be taught how to effectively share their faith with those around them. Effective evangelistic strategies used by other congregations will be shared. You will leave the seminar with a strategic evangelism strategy for reaching your community for Christ.
